Hello and Welcome!
I’m Krista Kim, an oil painter based in north Idaho. I live on a small farm with my husband, Daniel, and create out of my home studio. In 2013, after experiencing burnout while working nights in the ER in CA, my husband and I decided to move to the country in pursuit of a slower paced life.
Later that year, I was diagnosed with PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) and infertility, which further solidified my desire to live a slower, more intentional and holistic lifestyle. I started oil painting as a way to help navigate the grief of infertility.
Much of my work is inspired by finding peace and joy in simple, everyday moments. Both my grandmother's were painters and I am deeply grateful to be able to carry on this meaningful tradition.
I am so happy you’re here and I hope that my work helps inspire you to slow down, breathe, and appreciate the simple, but profound beauty in everyday living.
